Windel GmbH & Co. KG awarded for sustainable management

Windel GmbH & Co. KG has achieved the "Sustainable Management" standard. The Center for Sustainable Leadership (ZNU) at Witten/Herdecke University awards this distinction to companies that contribute to a sustainable transformation in society and take responsibility for their actions.

For four days, an auditor from TÜV Rheinland analyzed the business processes and areas of Windel GmbH & Co. KG and checked them for sustainability. He conducted interviews with the responsible colleagues and checked the company`s goals and measures for holism and progress. In the end, in addition to the certification, there was a lot of praise for Windel`s commitment to date.

Fred Windel, CEO and shareholder of the Windel Group, was delighted with the recognition. At the same time, he emphasized that he did not want to rest on these achievements and looked to the future: "The ZNU certificate proves that innovation and progress are perfectly compatible with reliable business pratices. And it encourages us to consistently continue along the path of sustainable thinking and action."

A route for this path already exists, as Windel GmbH & Co. KG has defined further short, medium and long-therm sustainability targets for all areas of the company, which are now to be achieved step by step.
