Information
During the purchase process, you will be asked to log in using your personal Koelnmesse account or to register if you have not already so. You can also use your account details to sign in to the trade fair app.
Click on “Buy ticket” or “Redeem ticket code” below and follow the instructions.
A personal Koelnmesse account is required to participate in the trade fair so that we can ensure a high level of trade visitor quality and offer an optimal digital trade fair experience. You can also use this account later to register in the trade fair app.
The Koelnmesse account is also required for trade visitor authorisation. As a visitor the previous event, you will be automatically legitimised. Otherwise, we ask you to upload a meaningful document (business card, extract from the commercial register, etc.) during registration, which we will check within a maximum of 48 hours. You can continue the purchase or redemption process upon receipt of the confirmation e-mail.
Do you want to buy tickets for other people?
Select ‘Buy ticket’. During the purchase process, you will be asked to enter the details of the ticket holder. Enter the name and email address of the person for whom the ticket is intended. These persons will then receive a ticket code by link, which they can redeem with their own Koelnmesse account.
How to get your ticket:
Ticket in the app
In the trade fair app, you can conveniently access the ticket and your public transport ticket in the ticket wallet there. Simply log in to the app with the Koelnmesse account you used to purchase your ticket.
The app also allows you to plan your visit to the trade fair efficiently. Here you will find the hall plan and navigation, exhibitor and product lists, the event programme and can network with other trade fair participants.
Ticket by download
You will also receive your ticket as a PDF file in the order confirmation. You can also download the ticket to the wallet of your mobile device via a link in the e-mail.
The ticket for public transport will be sent to you in a separate e-mail. You can also call up your ticket and travelcard at any time under ‘My orders’ in the Ticket Shop.
Would you like to do without the advantages of the Koelnmesse account and the app? Then you can alternatively purchase a ticket on site or redeem a ticket code.

Trade visitor
The ISM is a trade fair. Koelnmesse GmbH reserves the right to conduct suitable trade visitor inspections on site.
The trade character of ISM is fundamental to the success of this event. Therefore, qualifications as a trade visitor must be provided when entering ISM.
Buyers of the following retail and wholesale will be admitted:
- Confectionery, food and beverage wholesale, import and purchasing associations
- Trade chains and their regional branches
- Filling stations-chains - central/local administration
- Hypermarkets
- Suppliers for foodservice
- Retail confectionery trade
- Pastry shops, cafés, bakeries, confectioneries
- Cash & carry operations
- Bakery requirement wholesale
- Health food wholesalers
- Drugstore chains
- Department stores
- Online-food retailers
- Vending machine operators
- Nutrition scientists
- Food chemists
- Producers of sweets and snacks according to the list of products
Guests with trade visitor tickets are not allowed to bring suitcases, trolleys or backpacks onto the trade fair grounds. These have to be deposited at the cloak room for free. Large empty bags are to be left at the cloak room as well. Briefcases, handbags and pilot suitcases in standard carry-on sizes (approx. 55x40x20 cm) are permitted.
Children and youths
Please note, if you want to bring children along! Children over the age of 12 are admitted only when accompanied by adults and in possession of a valid admission ticket. Children below the age of 12 are not admitted. Infants up to the age of one year may be brought to the fair if they are carried. Baby carriages are not permitted for safety reasons (danger of tripping).
There are no buggies or strollers allowed!
Accompanying pets
It is prohibited to bring dogs and other pets to our fair grounds.
Travel ticket
You will receive your free travel ticket in a separate e-mail. For use of the public transport system please print out the PDF file in size A4 or download the PDF file to your mobile device.
The free travel ticket (2nd class) is valid for public transport in the expanded network of the Rhein Sieg Transportoperated by the Rhein Sieg Transport Authority (VRS) .
Exempted are trains of the Deutsche Bahn AG subject to a surcharge, e.g. the IC/EC or ICE.
The public transport ticket only provides authorization for arrival and departure in the context of a visit to Koelnmesse GmbH within the indicated period of the trade fair. It is non-transferable and only valid in connection with a valid photo identification and an admission ticket of Koelnmesse GmbH.
