From 2027 onwards, ISM will bundle all the sections of the international sweets and snacks industry under a joint umbrella brand for the first time. With ISM, ISM Ingredients and ISM Manufacturing, a seamless, clearly structured and inspiring trade fair experience will be created - from the ingredients and the production through to the finished product. In this way, the industry's entire value chain will be united under one brand, which will significantly enhance the experience for the exhibitors and visitors.

WHAT WILL CHANGE?

The realignment of ISM will create a joint umbrella brand for the first time, which will clearly and comprehensively bundle all relevant sections of the sweets and snack industry.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

  • From 2027, ProSweets Cologne will be renamed ISM Manufacturing.
  • The product segments of the newly named ProSweets Cologne will remain unchanged.
  • ProSweets Cologne will be more closely interlinked with ISM and ISM Ingredients.
  • Exhibitors from all three sectors benefit from even greater international visibility under the globally established ISM brand.

What will happen to ProSweets Cologne?

ProSweets Cologne will be completely integrated into ISM from 2027 onwards and will continue under the new name ISM Manufacturing.
The contents will stay the same - and will even be expanded. ProSweets Cologne's renowned competence in machinery, systems, packaging and processes sections will thus gain increased international visibility and benefit from ISM's global reach.

Which sections fall under ISM Ingredients?

From 2026 onwards, ISM Ingredients will encompass all aspects revolving around raw materials, flavours, extracts, functional ingredients and sensory innovations. This section covers the entire world of ingredients that are relevant for the development and differentiation of modern sweets and snacks. Here, the visitors can find solutions for taste, texture, functionality and food-related trends - all bundled in a clearly defined, internationally comprehensible brand section.

Which target groups does ISM Manufacturing address?

ISM Manufacturing specifically targets decision-makers from the area of industrial sweets and snacks production. These include production and plant managers, project engineers, technologists, packaging developers as well as professionals from the fields of automation, robotics, quality management and analysis. The section focuses precisely on those people, who design production processes, prepare investment decisions and evaluate technological innovations.

Will the hall allocation or routes change?

With the new brand structure, the visitor guidance will be organised more efficiently and in closer alignment with the value chain. The aim is to improve the orientation, make thematic connections more visible and shorten the walking distances. The final hall planning will, as usual, be published well in advance, but will be organised so that ingredients, manufacturing and final products are clearly separated from one another, while at the same time interlinked in a logical way.
