Gunz Warenhandels GmbH is a family-owned company currently in its second generation. Our journey began almost 40 years ago in a warehouse on the former family farm in Altach. What began as a two-person operation has evolved into a global enterprise. The core business of our company lies in the distribution of food products spanning a wide range of categories. From chocolate snowmen and Italian pastries to beverages and well-known branded products – we now sell our items in over 100 countries worldwide. Customers from places such as Madagascar, Hong Kong, Chile, and the Seychelles are among our satisfied clients, alongside those in our main markets: Germany, France, and Austria.

Everything from One Source
Our proven recipe for success is composed of a broad product range, comprehensive service, and competitive pricing. Our customers value our diverse assortment of 1,200 products and 20 strong Gunz brands, as well as our extensive service package. Optimal customer support is provided through our robust external sales network, ensuring we are present directly on-site. Currently, around 50 of our sales professionals personally serve customers in approximately 15 countries. Guided by our motto, "No project is too big or too small," our service package is supported by our dedicated warehouse teams in Mäder and Magdeburg, along with our competent back-office team.

Partnerships with Added Value
For years, we have partnered with globally renowned top football clubs. Products featuring FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Liverpool FC are already established in our range. Recently, we have expanded our partnerships to include Dutch clubs such as Feyenoord Rotterdam, Ajax Amsterdam, and PSV Eindhoven. Thanks to these partnerships, we offer our trade partners unique sales opportunities worldwide by enabling them to feature products with the branding of numerous top international clubs on their shelves.

Human Dignity and Solidarity
We have adhered to the principle of sustainability for decades and strive daily to consume as few resources as possible while working efficiently. Values such as human dignity and solidarity are deeply embedded in the Gunz value system.

Many years ago, we chose to partner with Fairtrade Austria, as we believe hard work deserves fair compensation. Small farmers in West African cocoa-growing regions remain the weakest link in the cocoa supply chain. Through our partnership with Fairtrade Austria, we have converted our entire chocolate product line to Fairtrade cocoa, so that today all our chocolate products bear the Fairtrade label. With our products marketed in over 100 countries, the Fairtrade logo is visible on 40 million packages annually, introducing many people to Fairtrade for the first time. We are proud to be a significant ambassador for Fairtrade.
