Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI)

The Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI) represents over 200 confectionery companies in Germany, headquartered in Bonn with branches in Berlin and Brussels. It serves as both a business and employers' association under the leadership of Bastian Fassin. The association offers services such as export support for medium-sized manufacturers and expertise in food chemistry. The German Cocoa and Chocolate Industry Foundation supports cocoa-related projects in collaboration with the Association of Companies Involved in Raw Cocoa Trade. The BDSI also supports the training of professionals for the confectionery industry through the Central College of the German Confectionery Industry (ZDS) in Solingen and cooperation with the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences.
