Chocolate coated almonds is a growing segment for Chocoladefabriek De Beemster BV. from the Netherlands
Fresh Carmel almonds, mainly sourced from California USA, are dry roasted just before coating. After cooling these almonds are coated in real Belgian chocolate, and then get a shiny polish of Arabic gum. Instead of a shiny layer De Beemster BV also offers chocolate almonds dusted with icing sugar, cinnamon or cocoa powder. Or white chocolate with coconut powder. They also introduced a tiramisu chocolate and a straciatella chocolate almond, and dark chocolate and seasalt almonds.
They developed for the Scandinavian market chocolate almonds with salmiak, a liquorice powder. And a chocolate almond with coffee powder. And a coffee cream almond.
Some years ago they introduced delicious chocolate almonds with a layer of fresh fruit powder, available as raspberry, strawberry and as wild blueberry chocolate almonds. Alternatively also available with a shiny layer. Last year Chocoladefabriek De Beemster BV introduced a new type of chocolate, caramel chocolate. The almonds with this caramel chocolate and a hint of seasalt have proven to be very successful for clients all over the world.
