The event
At a time when the food and confectionery industry is facing increasingly complex challenges, innovative software is becoming a decisive success factor. Reinhard Vanhöfen, CEO of the German start-up OMMM, recognised early on through his consulting activities that traditional software solutions could no longer cope with the growing complexity in this industry: The combination of continuous product innovations, increasing demands on delivery reliability and speed as well as the numerous restrictions such as best-before dates can no longer be managed with conventional software. The food and confectionery industry therefore urgently needs new, future-proof solutions for its central SCM processes. This is precisely where OMMM's AI-based tools come in. He decided to invest in OMMM and play a key role in driving the development of standardised AI software. In this presentation, Reinhard Vanhöfen will describe the history of OMMM - from the first milestones to the current scale-up phase. He will provide insights into his experiences as the new CEO and describe the challenges the company had to overcome on its way to market maturity. He will also give an outlook on OMMM's ambitious plans and visions for the next five years. In the second part of the presentation, Matthias Banike, VP Business Development at OMMM, will introduce the company's specific AI approach. Using the example of a use case with ZENTIS, he will illustrate the practical benefits of OMMM software in the confectionery industry. He will show how AI-based tools dramatically improve efficiency in production and supply chain planning and give companies a key competitive edge in this highly competitive industry.
