The event
The requirements for food production are becoming increasingly stringent and the only way to ensure the future sustainability of this industry is to increase automated processes. In addition to the quality requirements and legal framework conditions, this also has to do with the growing shortage of workers. Nearly full employment and rising wage structures are making it more difficult to find and retain employees.
Automation offers the opportunity to counteract this and create more flexible structures and independence. However, the production and processing of food involves a high degree of complexity, which creates problems for technology suppliers and makes the implementation of automation solutions more difficult. New developments in the areas of gripping technology, robotics, image processing and AI enable automated solutions that also conform to food production standards. In this field, the lecture will give impulses that offer potential for different areas of the confectionery industry.
