"sweet paradise" - Design students display ideas for the organic confectionery market of the future
For the first time, the International Sweets and Biscuits Fair (ISM) has its own presentation platform for suppliers of organically produced and processed confectionery and snack items: the "Organic Avenue". Organic confectionery also plays an important role in the supporting programme. For example, students from the Cologne International School of Design (KISD) will display their ideas and concepts for the organic confectionery market of the future. For this they have designed an "idyllic grove" which ISM visitors can take a stroll through and draw inspiration from. "sweet paradise" is the title for this year's special show. The project, which is sponsored by Koelnmesse and supervised by Prof. Jenz Großhans, imaginatively highlights the potential that organic products also have in the confectionery segment.
The special show "sweet paradise" is located in Passage 4/5. Product designs, packaging ideas and advertising concepts are placed on abstract "trees". The entire "idyllic grove" is intended as a discussion forum, source of inspiration and place to relax for ISM visitors.
A total of 54 suppliers of the 1,675 exhibiting companies are participating in the "Organic Avenue", which enables compact presentation in Hall 11.2. In addition to "organic specialists", companies which have previously made their names with conventional products will also show their organic ranges in the avenue.
The organisers of ISM are Koelnmesse and the International Sweets and Biscuits Fair Working Group (AISM), which is the conceptual sponsor.
